Kennedy King 2015

The Executive Board of the Prince George’s County Young Democrats has had the honor to host the Kennedy-King Awards Dinner for nearly a decade now. Over the years, this all-out bash has become our number one fundraising event, growing over each consecutive year.     Today, we are proud to announce that the 9th Annual Kennedy-King Awards Dinner will be held May 21, 2014 at IBEW Local Union 26 in Lanham, Maryland at 7 p.m.   This year's event will take the opportunity to celebrate the anniversary of the Selma To Montgomery Marches by honoring our own living community trailblazers, activists and institution-shakers.     These are outstanding Prince Georgians who, every day, fight for the advancement of social justice and equality.  The everyday heroes of causes that just don’t make it to national headlines.  The carriers of the same flame from which burned the passions of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Rep. Elijah Cummings, Dorothy Height or Bayard Rustins.   Purchase your tickets here.   If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 301.787.6692 or
